Mentor Coordinator

As most of our individual youth mentors are drawn from the campus community, our intern would be our "on-campus recruiter".  Duties include making presentations to students, groups and to drop off descriptive materials to various campus organizations and faculty.  As mentors are identified, our coordinator would arrange for training and assignments with various local youth populations at recreation centers and schools.  Ability to write reports desired.  Some off-campus travel required.  We are willing to train you.  Your hours will be flexible and you can work from your home or campus location (we also have an open workstation available at our offices).  Some field travel and conference attendance will be required.  Academic credit may also be available.  You can be proud to add this experience to your résumé.  We will provide you with a letter of reference during and following your internship.

Assistance in obtaining academic credit and enhancement of your professional references. Networking contacts with key officials throughout the state.

WE WANT: Good communications skills. Light travel (have own transportation). Ability to write detailed reports. Computer literacy; MS Word and Internet skills. 1-3 hours of your dedicated time per week. Must pass a thorough background check.
